Siddhivinayak Samajik Bahhuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur (SSBSS) is a non-profit making charitable society which was registered under the Society Registration Act-1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act-1950 on 06/02/2010 for the promotion of women empowerment through quality education. In addition to women empowerment, the NGO also works in the field of culture, Environment, Agriculture, health, education and other welfare activities to build a healthy society in India.
Since its establishment, the society has been working hard to provide affordable higher education to the girls who live in rural and agriculture driven area by starting the higher educational institute namely Smt. Sugrata Wanjar Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Wadoda, Tal. Kamptee Dist-Nagpur. The main intension behind starting the higher educational Institute is to empower girl students who find it very difficult to continue higher education due to the lack of basic facilities.
By providing education, the society is trying to bring the rural girls at par with urban fraternity and increase literacy rate in the rural, agriculture driven and backward area. The rural girls lag behind due to the lack of basic facilities required for education and skill enhancement and fail to compete with urban girls. The efforts are therefore taken to bring them into the mainstream by providing fee and quality education by establishing the higher education institute. Efforts are also taken to make rural girls employable and self-reliant by offering different programs and skill oriented courses useful for rural girls. The organization has been engaged in the welfare and development activities to empower women, farmers, rural youth and the weaker section of the rural area in different ways
